Videos I made on my adventures
As you may have heard, Norway has a butter shortage. Apparently some late night talk show hosts have made light of the situation and that has drawn the ire of a Norwegian singer, celebrity and blogger by the name of Tommy. While I can appreciate his problem, I would make my own butter. Here in Torrance we have no eggs! Two days before Christmas and no eggs.
This is my video reply to Tommy.
Not to be outdone by a cat he saw on YouTube, Buddy shows that you can wrap a dog as a Christmas present. Buddy will have another video up tomorrow. You can find all of Buddy\’s adventures at GotBuddy.com.
The month of November has been designated by The Movember Foundation as the month for raising funds for and awareness of men\’s health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer. As part of the month-long campaign, men around the world are being encouraged to grow a moustache for the month. As you know, I already had a beard and moustache (for 39 years), but I wanted to participate. After talking to a couple friends, I decided to set up a Movember account then announce on Facebook, a few of my sites and some industry forums that when I had $1,000 in donations I would completely shave off my existing beard and moustache.
45 hours later the money was raised. This video is of the removal of my beard and moustache. This is the first time I have not had facial hair since 1971!
All donations continue to be welcomed and appreciated. Please visit http://us.movember.com/mospace/711820/ for more details.
As I mentioned yesterday, I am in Indiana for the 4th of July holiday. With all apologies to Indiana residents, this place sucks in July. However, they have very liberal fireworks laws and that is enough incentive to make me consider the journey. Combine that with the fact that my girlfriend lives here, it is not too difficult a decision to make. When I fly in, the first stop is always the Phantom Fireworks in Chesterton. This video is of the final display of my 4th Annual Fireworks Show.
Video of the climb up Generals Highway in Sequoia National Park. This was taken on my ride there last Sunday. It was very cool as every time I went around a turn you could see just how high the road was climbing, and it provided a spectacular view. While I would have enjoyed having my girlfriend with me, I have a feeling her fear of heights would have resulted in her fingernails being permanently embedded in either me or the back seat of the Limited.
Filmed with a ContourHD helmet cam.
As I mentioned the other day, I took a ride on the new H-D Limited to Sequoia National Park. Besides being home to Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states, beautiful rivers and bears, you will also find some of the oldest and largest trees on the planet. This video, taken with my ContourHD helmet cam, is of my ride through the Giant Forest. I do recommend clicking the settings for 720 and full screen. It is a pretty amazing place.
Daniel on his Fat Boy and me on my Electra Glide Classic, as we cruise up the 101 through Encino on one of our Sunday rides. We were headed towards Solvang on this trip. Filmed with a ContourHD helmet cam.

My son and I were headed up to Santa Barbara, when I noticed a problem with his bike around West LA. We were in a pretty lousy part of town to try and find a place to work on a motorcycle. Soon we came upon the wide open arms of the VA medical center, with ample parking out of the way of everyone. Daniel took care of his issue and we headed out. To get back on Wilshire we had to go under it. This is what we found.
Do yourself a favor, use the full screen mode. I think the video came out really nice considering the lighting.
Ah, it is that time of year again when the California Gray Whale heads to Mexico for the same reason the rest of us go there. Mating. Anyway, a popular pastime this time of year is to go whale watching. You can pay to go on a boat, but there are no guarantees. We are actually 50-50 when using a boat, but we had to go to Hawaii to have any luck. Sometimes that is just not feasible. The easiest way is to go to the beach and watch them there.
For those that want to go to the seashore to whale watch, I have decided to create this little video tutorial on How to Watch Whales, the 10 Basic Steps. I hope you find it helpful.
It is Valentine\’s Day, and in the mid to high 70\’s. Sounds like a perfect day for a ride. It was.
Took the Night Train up to Rolling Hills and headed for the cliffs. This video is taken along Crest Road and filmed with my Contour HD helmet cam.
If I can not be with my baby, this is the next best thing.
