The 4th Annual Beer, Art & Music Festival (BAM Fest) is returning to Santa Monica on October 5, 2013 and tickets are now officially on sale. BAM Fest will feature more than 30 craft breweries, four wineries, three bands, gourmet food trucks, several art galleries and open artist studios and four hours of fun. BAM Fest is a fundraiser benefiting the 18th Street Arts Center, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization located in Santa Monica. Waves of Grain Beerfest: A huge success

Yesterday, the Shade Hotel in Manhattan Beach along with sponsors Brewco Manhattan Beach, Rock & Brews El Segundo, LA Car Guy and NW Real Estate Brokers hosted the 2nd Annual Waves of Grain Beerfest; this time benefiting the Richstone Family Center in Hawthorne, CA. The event was sold out and everyone seemed to really enjoy the craft beers provided by more than 40 craft brewers from around the country. Saturday was day six of the 2013 American Craft Beer Week and in keeping with the theme of the week these photos are from the Smog City Brewing grand opening and a birthday party for the President of the Strand Brewers Club, a local home brewers club. Friday was day five of the 8th Annual American Craft Beer Week (ACBW) and I was able to visit two gold medal winners that are both located in the South Bay; San Pedro Brewing Company from San Pedro and Smog City Brewing Company (2012 Great American Beer Festival) in Torrance. These photos are from the Smog City Brewing Company soft open which was held Friday evening in Torrance, CA. A few days ago, Smog City Brewing, a new local microbrewery, posted on their Facebook page that the brewery now had a telephone number and that people should call and leave a message; the hint that “there’s something in it for you too” was enough to make me call.
