Photos from the Marketers Ball, ad:tech San Francisco 2011

Tuesday evening had several parties slated to go along with ad:tech San Francisco. While I had great intentions, I ran out of time, so I decided to head over to what I guessed would be the largest of them all, The Marketers Ball. Sponsored by Friendfinder Networks and starring Too Short and Digital Underground, this party was truly off the hook. These photos of The Marketers Ball give a pretty good portrayal of the fun to be had. If you see your photo here and would like your name added to the caption, please register, then contact me. Tuesday, after the last keynote presentation, the exhibit hall closed and the educational sessions ended it was time to get down to some serious networking on the third floor. The Big Networking Bash included speakers, exhibitors and attendees as they all gathered for some talk and libations. These photos are from Tuesday at ad:tech’s Big Networking Bash. If you see your photo here and would like your name added to the caption, please register, then contact me. I will give you instructions on how to make that happen. This is free branding for you. Photos from the Ad Tech San Francisco sessions

I have attended several past ad:tech conferences over the years, but I am not sure that I have ever had time to attend the seminar presentations/seminars provided. This year I made the time. Since I do not recall attending past ad:tech seminars I am not really sure what the focus was in the past, but there is no question as to what the focus is in 2011. Mobile and social network marketing is definitely the wave of the future, if not already. These photos are from the sessions held Tuesday and Wednesday. If you see your photo here and would …

One of the highlights of ad:tech is the quality of speakers they provide for the keynote presentations. Photos from ad:tech San Francisco

I attended ad:tech San Francisco again this year, and I have to say, I like where things seem to be headed. More on that later. Tuesday was the first day of the expo, and the sessions continued. There was also a press briefing where representatives from different companies were able to tell about new products, mergers and other news they wanted to get out. I actually enjoyed this event more than I thought I might. Very informative. If you see your photo here and would like your name added to the caption, please register, then contact me. I will give …

Photos from San Rafael Reef

Since the weather was not cooperating in Utah, we thought we would try to make it to the Valley of Fire in Nevada for sunset. It was a great idea, and we were there on time, but the clouds had only grown worse. Luckily, I-70 in Utah is a beautiful drive. These photos were taken in the San Rafael Reef area of Utah, which was a big uranium mining area in the 1950’s. Back to San Rafael Reef Photos Back to San Rafael Reef Photos

Photos from Arches National Park

Our last day in Utah, we decided that we would go ahead and venture into Arches National Park. We had visited it last year, but Tanya’s storage drive failed and she lost a significant number of the photos she took. Since there was a threat or rain, the clouds were moving in; and while clouds can add an interesting perspective to photos, they also dampen the bright colors that might otherwise be available. Tanya said she just wanted to drive to the first arch, then we could leave. About three hours later we decided we really should head out before …

Photos from Lake Powell and Hite, UT

When we left Natural Bridges National Monument we had two options. We could backtrack, or we could continue on towards Lake Powell and just make it a large loop for the day’s drive. Since the road ahead of us looked pretty amazing, we opted for taking the long way back to Moab. While the scenery was magnificent, it appeared to me that the lake’s water level was way down. I later asked a “local” and she told me the level was actually up. I guess we were at the wrong part of the lake. That is okay, the lake is …
