These photos were taken Saturday at the Torrance Firefighters Association’s 41st Annual Spaghetti Dinner which is a fundraiser to benefit the Alisa Ann Ruch California Burn Foundation (www.aarbf.org). The proceeds go towards sending young burn victims to Champ Camp, a week long summer camp for burn survivors ages 5-16. In addition to the spaghetti dinners served, the women’s auxiliary of the Torrance Firefighters Association had a bake sale with all kinds of homemade goodies.

It was another fine turnout and all the volunteers made sure cups were filled and tables were cleared and set for the next guest. I know there had to have been several hundred people served in the short time we were there and the only time there was a wait was a brief period that they had run out of plates. The servings were big, the food was great and the people were friendly. I recommend marking it on your calendar for next year and bring the entire family.
