How did I get here?

I guess it is a good thing that I take a picture a day, or I might have a real problem keeping track of where I have been and what I have done. This has been a busy month to be sure. Time to catch up with my Project 365 updates. At midnight on Day 197, Tanya and I decided to drive up to Campbell, CA to visit Psycho Donuts. Unfortunately, we did not make it due to the fact that we forgot Tanya’s laptop at home. When we walked in the door I discovered a water inlet hose to …

June 2010 Picture of the Day Collection

Picture a Day, Project 365 [adrotate group=”6″] June 2010 Photos Is it just me, or is this year flying by? June had Tanya come out for a visit as we had a trade show in Las Vegas. We took advantage of the situation and rode my new Limited out there. It was a very hot ride. The rest of the month was pretty much kept local. July is my favorite month of the year, due entirely to the 4th of July and my fondness for things that go boom in the night. I am looking forward to it. [adrotate group=”1″]

Picture of the Day Update

Made it home from Las Vegas in one piece. The ride out there gave us temperatures close to 120. The hottest it ever got on the way home was 92. Definitely a better ride, even when it dropped to 60. Anyway, here are my pictures of the day for the last three days. Day 160 is Tanya and me on the way to The Player’s Ball, which we co-sponsored. It featured rapper, Too Short. Thursday, Day 161, found us poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel for the XFANZ Summer Expo. Day 162 was Friday and we spent a good portion …

All broken in.

It has been two weeks now since I got the new Limited. She has her 1,000 plus miles in, new fluids and her first bath. I do believe she is ready for a ride to Las Vegas, or anywhere else I want to take her. We will start with Vegas though. Picture of the day, number 155.

Video of Generals Highway in Sequoia

Video of the climb up Generals Highway in Sequoia National Park. This was taken on my ride there last Sunday. It was very cool as every time I went around a turn you could see just how high the road was climbing, and it provided a spectacular view. While I would have enjoyed having my girlfriend with me, I have a feeling her fear of heights would have resulted in her fingernails being permanently embedded in either me or the back seat of the Limited. Filmed with a ContourHD helmet cam.

Memories and no regrets

Brought the Limited in for its 1,000 mile service. Turns out this was also the first day on the showroom floor for the bike I traded in. They chromed the front end and cleaned her up real nice. She looked good but I am happy with my decision. Day 153 of my picture a day.

Riding in the Giant Forest

As I mentioned the other day, I took a ride on the new H-D Limited to Sequoia National Park. Besides being home to Mt. Whitney, the highest peak in the lower 48 states, beautiful rivers and bears, you will also find some of the oldest and largest trees on the planet. This video, taken with my ContourHD helmet cam, is of my ride through the Giant Forest. I do recommend clicking the settings for 720 and full screen. It is a pretty amazing place.

Project 365 for May 2010

Project 365 Photos [adrotate group=”6″] May 2010 May 2010 is now a memory as we move on to June. May was a pretty interesting month. It began with me being in Sioux Falls, SD at J&L Harley-Davidson. They were giving demo rides of the 2010 models and I took one. Three weeks later I was the proud owner of a 2010 Limited. I also noticed that May seems to be the month I most frequently buy motorcycles. Not really sure why that is, but it is definitely a pattern. [adrotate group=”1″]

Photos From Sequoia National Park

Ride to Sequoia National Park [adrotate group=”6″] Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains Since it is Memorial Day weekend, I decided to take an extended Sunday ride this week. I loaded up the Limited with my Canon and laptop and headed back to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I initially intended to head up the 395, but since I was there a couple of weeks ago, I decided to veer to the west side of the Sierra Nevada mountains and go to Sequoia National Park instead. I need more time there, so I will return again with Geek Good Girl. Enjoy the photos. …
