Reflections

2010 is rapidly drawing to a close and so is Project 365 for the year. While this project may have ended up being more of a task than a labor of love, it has made it possible for me to look back and see what I did this year. It has been fun packed. My picture of the day is of Buddy and I having a serious discussion about our activities of the past year.

Merry Christmas from GotBaddog

I have mentioned a couple of Christmas traditions I have in prior posts, but my favorite of all has to be my Christmas morning ride. As I am sure most of you are aware, the day after Thanksgiving starts the Christmas shopping season. This means one thing to me, lots of traffic. There are several large malls within a five mile perimeter so we get lots of traffic. I have lived in homes that were virtually impossible to get out of the driveway because of the amount of traffic. It makes owning a motorcycle pretty handy. On Christmas morning the …

Sharing Sturgis

Last May, I came through South Dakota and Sturgis with Tanya, and all I could do was talk about how much more fun it would be if we were on a bike, riding down these open roads. Today, we lived the experience. She drove from IN to meet me, and today we went into Sturgis and cruised Main Street. We then rode to Rapid City to hit the Harley dealer as I had gotten a short that caused my tail light to not come on. I suspect it was from this huge bump I hit somewhere in CO. It was …

Quality Time

Day 214 of my photo a day project. It was Monday and as happens, the maids came. Since I had to give them some time to work around my desk, Buddy and I decided it would be a good time to go outside and play in the front yard for a while. Quality time is what it is all about. My photo of the day is of Buddy and me enjoying the nice day and checking out activity in the neighborhood.

A Great Honor

It is no secret that I have a sushi dependency. Unfortunately, just any sushi will not do, I have become spoiled. I was in Nobu in Las Vegas a few weeks ago and tried one of their rolls. It was okay, at best. For me, it is Gu Gu Sushi and Roll or nothing at all. Yesterday, I had the opportunity to return after three weeks of no Gu Gu. To my surprise I saw they had created a new baddog roll. It is made with cream cheese, deep fried shrimp, avocado and cucumber topped with smoked salmon, capers and …

Getting Wii Fit

Several months ago I started using a Wii Fit on a daily basis, well, any day that I was home anyway. A month or so ago I was pretty much forced into an upgrade to Wii Fit+. I really like this Wii Fit+ as it sets up combination workout routines that I would never consider doing on my own. I have to admit, I do believe I am seeing progress and some definition. My photo of the day for day 207 shows the progress I have made since the last full frontal pic.

Sunday Ride To Lake Hughes

Sunday, Day 206 of my photo a day, found me on the road for a nice leisurely ride. I headed up to Lake Castaic, then over to Lake Hughes and Elizabeth Lake. It was a nice day with very little traffic. Pretty much a perfect day in my book. This photo was taken on a turnout overlooking Lake Castaic and the surrounding valley.

The Road to Psycho Donuts

Photos From Psycho Donuts [adrotate group=”6″] Campbell, CA, I learned about Psycho Donuts, in Campbell, CA via their Facebook page. A quick look at their specialty donuts convinced me that I needed to take a drive up there and sample their goods. This past weekend Tanya, Buddy and I made the journey. We had a good time and met some nice people along the way. [adrotate group=”1″]

How did I get here?

I guess it is a good thing that I take a picture a day, or I might have a real problem keeping track of where I have been and what I have done. This has been a busy month to be sure. Time to catch up with my Project 365 updates. At midnight on Day 197, Tanya and I decided to drive up to Campbell, CA to visit Psycho Donuts. Unfortunately, we did not make it due to the fact that we forgot Tanya’s laptop at home. When we walked in the door I discovered a water inlet hose to …

Mid-July Picture of the Day

The calendar tells me we have reached the middle of July. I can not believe how slow this month gets after the 4th. Oh well, here is some catch up with my picture of the day. Day 194 is me while walking Buddy. The June gloom is nothing but a memory now. Yesterday, Tanya and I decided to barbecue. She made one of her delicious Strawberry Pecan Salads. I barbecued some thighs and legs. Great leftovers. Since it looks like we are going to be stuck here for a while I decided to take Buddy to the groomers. Here he …
