Photos from Sedona, Arizona

I ended March and began April a trade show in Tempe, AZ. Since Tanya’s birthday is in the beginning of April, we decided to do a smaller repeat performance of our road trip last year. Sunday morning, we headed out of Tempe and headed north to Sedona. What a welcome relief from the heat of Tempe. We found a nice micro brewery, Oak Creek Brewing Company, and tried their sampler. Good stuff. These photos are from Sedona and the outskirts. Very beautiful country. Back to Photos from Sedona, AZ Back to Photos from Sedona, AZ

I have a good excuse

I think I was doing pretty good about keeping this years Project365 current, but I got sidetracked. My girlfriend, Tanya, came into town; then we had to do all our tax stuff and we had to make plans for the year. As a result, I got delayed and now I am going to play catch-up again. Day 67 was a warm and sunny morning. Tanya is going to love the weather when she gets here tonight. I also discovered that the Charger makes a pretty nice canvas. Wednesday is beautiful. We open all the doors today as it is warmer …

Photos from a snowy Yosemite

If you are a regular reader of GotBaddog.com you will recall that last week Tanya and I went up to Yosemite to try and photograph a natural phenomena that occurs the last two weeks of February at Horsetail Falls. This phenomena requires a few things to be right in order for the effect to happen. These include sunlight and enough water coming over the falls in addition to the proper positioning of the sun, which only happens in February. We lucked out and went 2:2 on Saturday and Sunday. On Valentine’s Day we could see a storm was moving in, …

Valentine’s Day at Yosemite

Since we had such good luck last week, shooting Horsetail Falls, I decided to come back to Yosemite. As I was driving back up to Oakhurst, I realized I never finished putting up the pictures from our Valentine’s weekend. I completely missed the photos from Valentine’s Day itself. It was very overcast, and it was obvious a storm was headed our way, so we cut through the park and came out on Highway 41. These are the photos from Yosemite National Park, going from 140 across to 41.

Beach Day

Even though I am self-employed, every once in a while I like to take advantage of Federal holidays. Since Monday was President’s Day, I decided to take Buddy to the dog beach with my daughter and her two dogs. My picture of the day for day 52 is of Buddy and a little friend he made.

Do you look like your dog?

I guess it is like the age-old question regarding chickens and eggs. Do dogs start to look like their owners, or do owners begin resembling their dogs? I suppose I am lucky that Buddy is such a handsome animal. I will accept either end result. My photo of the day for the 51st day of Project365 is of Buddy and me. I think I can see the resemblance.

Family photo

Another beautiful day in the neighborhood. It is tough to find a better way to start the day than a nice morning walk on a sunny morning. My picture of the day for day 41 of Project365 is of Buddy and me as we walk through Columbia Park, in Torrance.

Project365 a daily routine

It is nice to be able to get into a routine, once in a while. Too often, there are a dozen things to do, so this blog has to take a back seat. Even if I have time to work on the blog, I may not have time to update my picture of the day. Four days in a row, with few interruptions is nice for a change of pace. Day 35 of my Project365 is of Buddy and I on our morning walk. Shadows mean sunshine, and that is a good thing.

Colder than I thought

Yesterday, Buddy and I wanted to show our solidarity with friends and family that are being hit hard with the winter storms. To achieve this, I put together a little “snow scene” as we would imagine it to be like in Indiana or Wisconsin. I have to admit, I was a little surprised to see that our snow still had not melted by this morning. Granted, it had not grown in size, and schools were not being closed as a result, but for Southern California, it was pretty cold. My photo of the day for day 34 of Project365 is …

A new month and a new theme for Project365

At the end of last year, I decided that I wanted to mix it up a little on this Project365 photo a day deal. Last month, I actually made sure that my face was pictured in every photo. In the more than 13 months that I have been doing this, I have never had a month that every photo had my face in it. So, now it is February. I intend on making sure my image is in every photo, but with a twist. My picture of the day for day 32 of Project365 is of Buddy and I on …
