Photos from Natural Bridges National Monument

I am not really sure what happened. The last I heard, we were going to Arches National Park. After all, that is why we stayed in Moab. Right? Apparently not. I guess Tanya was surfing Google images after we got settled in. She found a couple places we had not yet seen that appeared to be quite photogenic. The fact that it was a four hour drive each way mattered little. One of the locations was Natural Bridges National Monument. Discovered in 1883, it is Utah’s first National Monument. It is also a location that we will return to. In fact, it is the first place that made us consider returning to camp so we can get some nice star shots.

Photos from Sedona, Arizona

I ended March and began April a trade show in Tempe, AZ. Since Tanya’s birthday is in the beginning of April, we decided to do a smaller repeat performance of our road trip last year. Sunday morning, we headed out of Tempe and headed north to Sedona. What a welcome relief from the heat of Tempe. We found a nice micro brewery, Oak Creek Brewing Company, and tried their sampler. Good stuff. These photos are from Sedona and the outskirts. Very beautiful country.

Beware the Ides of March

While I may not have gotten stabbed, like Julius Caesar, the Ides of March were not very kind to me. Had taxes to pay, returns to get filed, and Tanya went home. Pretty much a trifecta. I had to go drown my sorrows in Gu Gu Sushi. My picture of the day for day 74 of Project365 is of Tanya and I as we prepared to leave for the airport.
