Picture of the Day 164 and 165

Sent my girlfriend back home yesterday, so I guess it is time to get back into my regular routine. My picture of the day for Day 164 is Buddy and I relaxing before we get back to work. Today’s picture of the day shows some interesting marketing. Judging by the sign, they tried to rent the house for $800 a month if you got a one year lease. Apparently, then did not work so they raised the rent to $1,750 a month. House remains vacant. Surprised?

Breaking of the Bread at Itzik Hagadol

When Tanya comes to visit, I try to mix it up with the places we eat. Some places I have introduced her to have become regular stops when she is in town. One place we were both recently introduced to is Itzik Hagadol Grill. Delicious food, but a long drive, so we have only been there three or four times. If I lived closer it would be more frequent, for sure. Day 163 of my picture a day shows me getting ready to enjoy a Mixed Meat skewer (chicken thighs, lamb, kabab, hanging tender, fillet). Toda to Marina for the …

Picture of the Day Update

Made it home from Las Vegas in one piece. The ride out there gave us temperatures close to 120. The hottest it ever got on the way home was 92. Definitely a better ride, even when it dropped to 60. Anyway, here are my pictures of the day for the last three days. Day 160 is Tanya and me on the way to The Player’s Ball, which we co-sponsored. It featured rapper, Too Short. Thursday, Day 161, found us poolside at the Hard Rock Hotel for the XFANZ Summer Expo. Day 162 was Friday and we spent a good portion …

Yes, baddog has gotten lazy

I hate speaking in the third person. Anyway, it has been a busy last few days and I am not exactly feeling on top of my game, so while I have been taking my picture of the day, publishing them has been slow. So, how about some catch up? Sunday, my girlfriend came into town. After introducing her to my new bike we took a little ride. My picture for day 157 is us at BJ’s where she enjoyed a frosty root beer and I went for something a little stronger. Monday, we loaded up the bike and headed to …

Photos From Sequoia National Park

Ride to Sequoia National Park [adrotate group=”6″] Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains Since it is Memorial Day weekend, I decided to take an extended Sunday ride this week. I loaded up the Limited with my Canon and laptop and headed back to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I initially intended to head up the 395, but since I was there a couple of weeks ago, I decided to veer to the west side of the Sierra Nevada mountains and go to Sequoia National Park instead. I need more time there, so I will return again with Geek Good Girl. Enjoy the photos. …

Photos of Littlefield Cemetery in Arizona

Littlefield Cemetery [adrotate group=”6″] Photos from Littlefield, AZ When you travel north on Interstate 15 out of Nevada, you cut through a small slice of Arizona before you hit Utah. Although this slice of AZ is very thin, it really does have some remarkable scenery. Tanya and I both enjoy visiting old cemeteries, so when we spotted this gem outside of Littlefield, we did not hesitate to pull off to investigate. As you can see, it was worth the stop. Photos from the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains

Bridgeport, Twin Lakes, Mono Lake and the Sierra Nevada Mountains We woke up in Bridgeport, which is one of those towns along US 395 that if you blink, you will miss it. Buddy and I began the day with a walk through town. That was enough to convince me that we were going to have to do a little exploring before we started the last leg of our journey home. I saw a sign for Twin Lakes and decided that we should go check them out. It was a great decision as the lakes and snow-capped mountains were very picturesque. …

Photos From Lake Tahoe and US 395

Pictures from along Lake Tahoe and US 395 [adrotate group=”6″] California and Nevada We spent the day driving around Lake Tahoe. It is amazing how long that can take when you are stopping as frequently as we do for picture taking. Tahoe was a bit chilly, but amazingly beautiful. After circling the lake we headed towards Yosemite. Unfortunately, Highway 120 was closed, so we had to figure out what to do about that. After driving back and forth on the 395 as we changed destinations, we decided to just head south and see what we see. That policy has worked …

One Month On the Road

One month ago, Tanya and I left LA for Phoenix. We have been together 24/7 since then. We have driven about 7,500 miles and visited 20 states. It is a good thing we get along so well. No fights! It is day 126 of Project 365, and today’s daily photo is of the two of us overlooking Lake Tahoe.
