Photos from the MBYP’s 2nd Annual Beer & Music Festival

These photos are from SummerFest 2012, Manhattan Beach Young Professionals (MBYP) 2nd Annual Beer & Music Festival which was held yesterday, July 14, 2012. The event, which was held at Raleigh Studios and was sponsored by Chevron, was a fundraiser for the Manhattan Beach Chamber of Commerce and the PS I Love You Foundation. The event was a blast, seriously; we had so much fun. As you look through the photos you can see that everyone seemed to be having as good a time as we did.

The great beer, food and music were surpassed only by the beautiful people, vibe and weather. The combination made this event the kind I enjoy photographing the most. I would like to thank the MBYP for the invitation, the sponsors for the fantastic food and libations and to all the attendees for helping make my photos turn out so well. Speaking of photos, you may have noticed there are a lot of them. For ease, you might want to click the slideshow link above the photos, click the full-screen icon, grab a beer, sit back and enjoy. Each photo is displayed for 2-3 seconds.

Sunday on the Main Stage at the 2012 PV Street Fair

These photos are of the musical entertainment found on the Main Stage on Sunday at the 2012 Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival. While this was my first PV Street Fair, it was pretty obvious by the attendance around the main stage that there were plenty of regular visitors; and there were bands that were definitely crowd favorites. I found myself rocking while photographing the crowd and the bands.

The bands featured are Zydeco Party Band, Jimbo Ross & the Bodacious Blues Band, Pretzel Logic, Credence Relived and Ticket to Ride. While I enjoyed all the acts, Pretzel Logic sounded pretty much like Steely Dan did when I saw them live at an outdoor concert back in 1972. Very impressive.

Saturday at the Palos Verdes Street Fair – Top Dogs, Dancing and Music

This past weekend was the 25th Annual Palos Verdes Street Fair & Music Festival. Those of you that are regular guests know I have a tendency to take a lot of photos when I cover an event; and as the official photographer you know I took thousands of photos each day. In order to make them manageable, and so you can find yourself, your kids, pets or booth I will break Saturday and Sunday into three groups for each day.

This gallery consists of the Top Dogs Show, the musical entertainment on the main stage (includes The Iliana Rose Cuban Jazz Band, The MVP’s, The Jay Edwards Band, The Full Spectrum Band and 80’s After Party) and the entertainment found under the big tent. This includes the Norris Theater Time Square Kids, Headliners and First Class Act. Additionally you will find photos of Dance Factory, Electric Youth, Dance Peninsula Ballet, PSPA, Amuze Jazz Ensemble, Altoid Addicts and Jennifer Sombrotto. There are also photos from the Princess Bride movie screening.
