Tuesday was the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce’s April Networking at Noon; this time being held at The Crest on Cabrillo in downtown Torrance. The monthly Networking at Noon is a great way for Chamber members to meet informally over a [usually] nice lunch, exchange business cards and give a 30 second introduction to remind people what service their business provides. It is also an opportunity for the host restaurant to showcase their establishment. Unfortunately, I think The Crest proved to be a pretty poor place to try and conduct a meeting. Tonight we headed up to the Rolling Hills Country Club to attend the PVP Chamber Regional Mixer. Being members of the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce (TACC) offers us the opportunity to network with business owners that are members of other chambers, so naturally we want to take advantage of the opportunities whenever they present themselves. Tonight’s event included members of various South Bay chambers including Carson, El Segundo, Gardena Valley, Harbor City/Harbor Gateway, Hawthorne, Hermosa Beach, Lawndale, LAX Coastal Area, Lomita, Manhattan Beach, Palos Verdes Peninsula, Redondo Beach, San Pedro, Torrance and Wilmington. These photos are from the TACC Networking at Noon lunch at Depot Restaurant in Torrance, CA. Back in December I mentioned that Tanya and I had joined the Torrance Area Chamber of Commerce and while I was out of town and Tanya was not in any condition to go anywhere in January, we are back into the swing of things and will be whenever we are in town.
