No more shadows

Day 59 of Project365 means the end of February. I do not think I have ever had as bad an idea as my idea for a shadow theme. I did it though, so I guess I deserve some credit for at least sticking it out. I think March will be a lot easier. Should be more fun, too. At least it was a sunny morning for the last shot.

End of the rainbow?

I hope our rainy season is done with. It is sunny this morning, but last night’s walk in the rain was not much fun. If it does not end soon, I am going to have to go out and buy another umbrella. This has been quite the season. I have never worn out an umbrella before. My picture for day 58 of Project365 is of the remnants of last nights rainfall.

Just add ice

What a deceptive morning. I stepped out of my front door to determine what I should wear for my morning walk. As my front door faces due east, I was greeted with the warmth of a bright blue sky. I could feel there was a slight chill in the air, but nothing drastic. I opted for a light sweater. What a mistake. My house was acting as a break from the wind, and as soon as I stepped away from it the cold wind hit me. I should have worn a jacket over the sweater. My picture of the day …

Looks like rain

The sun is out, but there are definitely a lot of rain clouds off in the distance. Reading my friend’s Facebook updates, it seems that rain has already hit many areas, just not here. That is another advantage of living by the beach, the weather is less extreme. My photo of the day for day 56 of Project365.

Not a good month for groundhogs

I have to admit, I never gave much thought to what a difficult job Punxsutawney Phil has. February is a terrible month to try and see your own shadow. I live in Southern California and it has been a real chore to try and get my shadow every day. I can only imagine that the difficulty level is extremely high in southeastern Pennsylvania. Day 55 of Project365.

Another Sierra Nevada morning

I decided to try and get another shot of Horsetail Falls, so last night Buddy and I hit the road and headed back up north. Since Oakhurst has better cell phone and wireless Internet reception than Mariposa, we spent the night there. My picture of the day for day 54 of Project365 is of me admiring a carved replica of the Statue of Liberty which we came across on our morning walk.

Rough around the edges

The mornings are a lot sunnier lately and as a result, they are a little warmer. Of course, this is not a guarantee since sunny skies mean no clouds to hold the heat in. Nothing a long sleeved shirt can’t take care of. My picture of the day for the 53rd day of Project365 is a closeup taken on my morning walk.

Beach Day

Even though I am self-employed, every once in a while I like to take advantage of Federal holidays. Since Monday was President’s Day, I decided to take Buddy to the dog beach with my daughter and her two dogs. My picture of the day for day 52 is of Buddy and a little friend he made.

Do you look like your dog?

I guess it is like the age-old question regarding chickens and eggs. Do dogs start to look like their owners, or do owners begin resembling their dogs? I suppose I am lucky that Buddy is such a handsome animal. I will accept either end result. My photo of the day for the 51st day of Project365 is of Buddy and me. I think I can see the resemblance.

A short sleeve morning

It seems like it has been a while since I was able to take my morning walk wearing a t-shirt. Day 50 of Project365 was one of those days. An added advantage is that shadows are much darker than they have been recently. Sadly, the weather did not last and by the time I got home, I was thinking a long sleeved shirt would have been more comfortable.
