Photos from the Unity Run Pasadena

The running community is a pretty tight group; if I had any doubt about that before, the events of the past few days, culminating with the Unity Run Pasadena, erased any doubts I may have had. These photos were taken today at the Unity Run Pasadena, a 5K which was held today at the Rose Bowl; the event included members of at least 16 different running clubs in the area as well as individuals that came from at least as far away as Riverside participating to remember the victims of the Boston Marathon 2013 terrorist attack.

2011 Operation Jack Marathon Photos

Today was the second annual Operation Jack Marathon in Manhattan Beach, CA. My daughter has gotten into long distance running lately, so I decided to come down and shoot the event. Operation Jack was started by a marathon runner, Sam, that has a son, Jack, with severe autism. Sam decided to run for autism awareness and hopefully to raise some funds for charities such as Train 4 Autism. You can get more details on their site.

There are over 1,000 photos in this gallery, so the easiest way to view the photos is to put on the slideshow option. Once it starts, there is an icon in the lower right corner of the screen that will let you view in full screen. Continue reading
