Believe it or not, but this morning I was inspired by a friend’s Facebook update. He mentioned that if the weather was right he might go to the zoo. I thought that sounded like an excellent idea, and our weather is always zoo worthy. Tanya and I got on the Glide and headed to the LA Zoo. It gave me a great opportunity to play with the new Sigma lens as well.

Got a new toy today
Day 69 of my daily photo log, otherwise known as Project 365. Got my Sigma zoom super wide angle lens today. I love it. Is like a wide angle and zoom lens combined. As I am never happy with the lens I have on at the time, this was perfect for me. I was able to zoom all the way in and still take this picture from an arm’s length away.

My First Test Shots
My new Sigma zoom super wide angle 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS (Optical Stabilizer) lens for my Canon Rebel Digital EOS arrived today. Within five minutes of arrival it was on the camera and I started shooting anything within eyesight. Here are a few sample pictures. I think I will keep it. Geek Good Girl and I headed back out to Point Vicente because she is planning on ordering one over the weekend. Had to let her play with it for a little while.
