Whale watching

Day 68 of Project 365. We took a little break from work and rode up to Point Vicente to see if the whales were out and about. It was very windy out, making the water quite choppy. While we did not see any whales breaching we did manage to get a couple shots of water spouts. Oh well, I have a new lens coming in tomorrow so Geek Good Girl and I will try again tomorrow. I have to test it out anyway, right? My daily photo is of Geek Good Girl and me.

Project 365 February

Project 365 [adrotate group=”6″] The month of February February 2010 is drawing to a close. I know it was only 28 days long, but it sure seemed to fly by quickly. February was a pretty slow month for me in that I did not really do much in the way of traveling. Went on a couple nice bike rides with Daniel, to Solvang and Santa Barbara. Travels to Andorra la Vella

Andorra 2009 [adrotate group=”6″] Our visit to Andorra la Vella I guess going through the pictures of Spain reminded me of our side trip to Andorra. I have to say, if I was ever going to get a summer home in Europe, Andorra would be at the top of my list. The Pyrenees are a majestic mountain range. These pictures are from around Barcelona and a drive we took up the Mediterranean coastline. [adrotate group=”1″]

To be honest, I do not recall the last time I had visited Solvang. I kind of remembered the windmill and European style architecture, but it had been long enough that I remembered nothing …

A Gift From My Honey

Buddy began barking, so I took a peek out the front screen. A little mail carrier was walking up the drive with a box almost as big as she was. I knew it was a Valentine’s Day gift from my girlfriend, but I had obviously guessed incorrectly as to what it might be. I mean, this box was 3’x3’x3’. What could it be? Guess there will be no excuses for not remembering to update. Day 48 of Project 365.
