I am headed to APPNation III

I will be in San Francisco next week for APPNation III. This third APPNation Conference will be held November 30 through December 1, 2011 at The Concourse Exhibition Center which is part of the San Francisco Design Center, located at 635 8th Street, San Francisco, CA. I attended APPNation last April and found it to be quite valuable since we are just beginning to get involved in the mobile application market.

AppNation Conference is a B2B trade show, specializing in the mobile application market. When I attended last April, the thing that impressed me the most was the non-stop action. A quick look at the agenda for this upcoming event shows that we are in for more of the same. From the time the show starts at 9:00 AM until it ends, around 6:00 PM, there are keynotes, seminars, workshops and panels. These cover a wide range of topics including the monetization of mobile applications, the effect of HTML5 in the application marketplace, social networks, gaming and more. The challenge at the last APPNation Conference was trying to decide which workshop or seminar to attend. It is apparent that this will be the challenge for APPNation III as well. Continue reading

A Picture a Day From Spain

When we left off I was in Ireland with my girlfriend, Tanya. We arrived at Barcelona airport early Tuesday morning due in part to a general strike in France. Some things never change.. Upon further reflection, I am not sure why we arrived so late in Barcelona. Perhaps it was because nothing was scheduled to be happening in Spain that night so we opted to stay in Dublin longer. France’s strike got in our way when we went into Amsterdam. Honest mistake.

Anyway, Tuesday afternoon we went off to a go-kart track with about 50 other people. I love racing karts in the open air. It also gave me an opportunity to work on my action photography. My photo of the day for day 264 is of me testing out my left handed shooting skills.
