Sunday afternoon I headed over to Alpine Village in Torrance for the Street Toys Back to School Car Show which was held in conjunction with Alpine Village’s Oktoberfest. Sunday is family day at Oktoberfest so there were lots of families wandering around admiring the artwork on the show entries.

From my understanding, Street Toys is governing body as it were for the local car clubs; so this event included many different car clubs covering a wide spectrum of car styles with trophies for every class. They had 2-door cars, 4-door cars, mini-trucks, full sized trucks, imports, classics, motorcycles and anything else you can think of. The car show was a fundraiser to help provide back to school necessities for underprivileged students throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. Street Toys and all the participants should be congratulated for holding a successful event for a good cause.

Alpine Village is located at 833 W. Torrance Boulevard in Torrance. Their 46th Annual Oktoberfest runs every weekend through October with Friday and Saturday evenings being adults (21+) only and Sunday afternoons being open to all. You can find my Oktoberfest photos on CraftBeerGuy.com.
